outside the boys’ classroom in the hallway for all to see is a thanksgiving display. on it there are pumpkins and corn and a big tree with leaves hanging off of it. there is one big leaf for each child in the class. written on the leaves are what the kiddos are most thankful for. most of the leaves, including alex’s, say some variation of, “i am thankful for mommy and daddy.” some add in siblings or grandparents or jesus as well. max’s leaf, which is front and center, says this …

i thankful for woody and buzz.

  1. ps—it is taking ALL my willpower to not sneak in with a marker and correct the bad grammar on these leaves! it’s one thing to hear a toddler say "i thankful …" but to see it spelled out is making me cringe!!
